So, I beat Branch C [NieR: Automata] last night. It was late so I went to bed awestruck, sad, and profoundly confused.
Couldn’t sleep well, couldn’t stop thinking about everything the that had just transpired and the implications of it all. When I woke up it was burning in my mind, and all mourning and afternoon it consumed me. Got home, booted up, and plunged into Branch E… beat it. I am now even more awestruck, sad, and confused.
I don’t have all the closure I want, but I have a newfound admiration for this game and those who created it. You can’t replicate this form of beauty in any other medium.
